WHY THE NAME FOUR POINTS?

1.  Relate to God and others.
2.  Reason with each other through the Bible.
3.  Reclaim what has been lost for the glory of God.
4.  Restore the broken and downtrodden.

These are the foundational concepts on which Four Points Church was established in January, 2012.  We believe that these four points create a very simple equation that, when followed, allows each follower of Jesus Christ to be more and more like Him, leading more and more people who don't know Him, to Him.  

In other words, R+R+R=R.

Our goal is to serve, lead, and leave our community and the thousands of unchurched people who live in it with Jesus' love.  And we're only just beginning.

THE CODES

1. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that they are one with three distinct roles.
We submit to the Father as our Creator and the Sustainer of our lives.
We submit to the Son, Jesus Christ, as our Savior and our King.
We submit to the Holy Spirit as our Comforter and Guide.

2.  We believe in the truth of the Bible and its perfection.
We will continually use the Scriptures as our guide in teaching, preaching, and training.

3. We believe in Authority.
We will submit to God's ultimate plan as found in the Bible and by the direct guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are a pastoral and elder-led church, as per the example laid out by the early Church in the New Testament.

4.  We believe in Relationship.
We actively pursue God through the relationship made available by the life, death, and resurrectioN of Jesus and the housing of the Holy Spirit within us. We will also pursue Christ-centered relationships with others based on the example of Jesus found within the Scriptures.

5. We believe in Faith.
We will act on God's abilities and not simply our own. We will persistently trust in what is unseen while reaching for the seemingly impossible.

6. We believe in Purpose.
We believe that our lives are a gift to be used for the purpose of furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the building of His Kingdom here on Earth, specifically in the community around us.

7. We believe in Action.
We will actively invest our time, energy, efforts, and resources in order to fulfill that purpose, regardless of how audacious or extravagant it may appear to be.

8. We believe that we need your seat.
It is not our purpose to cater to personal preferences in our mission to reach the community around us. We are more concerned with the people we are trying to reach than the people we are trying to keep. We want to be a church that the unchurched want to be a part of and we believe that you are essential in that mission.
